Devil's Lake
Devil`s Lake is located in the northern mountains Locvei, Nera Valley (in the key, almost half of them). It is considered a natural monument and part of the Nera-Beusnita National Park.
Devil's Lake can be reached, following the red band marking (New Şopotu - Nera - Sasca Romanian). Leaving New Şopotu city, after approx. 5.5 km (1 hour 30 min. Walk) to reach Trifu Glade (Poiana Meliugului).

Conversely, Devil's Lake is reached, following the same route (red band). Starting from Sasca Romanian city, after approx. 2.5 km (45 min. - 1 hour) to reach Beului Bridge, and after another approx. 4 km (1 hour) to reach Canton Damian.
From Canton Damian is approx. 6.5 km to Poiana lui Vogiun (approx. 3 hours walk), and from there, following the path that climbs Cracul Jordan cracked Zăpodinii and Lake Peak, then down to Devil's Lake (approx. 2 5-3 km, approx. 45 min.).
Devil's Lake (initially underground), appeared to date by the collapse of the arch cave (Cave of the Devil's Lake)From Canton Damian is approx. 6.5 km to Poiana lui Vogiun (approx. 3 hours walk), and from there, following the path that climbs Cracul Jordan cracked Zăpodinii and Lake Peak, then down to Devil's Lake (approx. 2 5-3 km, approx. 45 min.).
The lake has a variable area (approx. 700 sqm), an ovoid shape (35x18 m) and maximum depth 12 m.
